Since 2009, the Broken Hill University Department of Rural Health has been promoting and sending local year 10 high school students successful applicants to the United Space School in Houston, Texas.  Broken Hill High School student Isabella Ball is this year’s Australian Female Ambassador for the United Space School Program.  Fifteen-year-old Isabella is over-the-moon to have been selected to attend the United Space School Program.  She first heard of the program four years ago from previous Broken Hill high school students whom had attended and always hoped she would have the same opportunity one day!  Isabella will fly to Houston, Texas on the 20th of July 2019 for a two-week period and work collaboratively on the Manned Mission to Mars Project within a multidisciplinary student team.  Isabella said she was ‘excited and amazed at such an opportunity.’  Isabella will be fund-raising throughout the first half of 2019 to assist with financing her trip.  Congratulations Isabella.
